I like little teeny tiny blogs. I think everyone needs to know everything I'm doing all the time, but are too busy telling everyone else what they are doing to actually read more than a sentence or two. Microblogs are the perfect solution. However, I find myself hitting the 140 character wall quite often and not posting anything. Quelle disastre! I can't imagine the amount of times I've disserviced the pairs and pairs of followers of my twitter account by simply not oversharing! Well, no longer - daddy's got a grown up blog now. It's like 1,000,000 tweets glued together!
Now, historically, this is just part of a cycle. This isn't my first blog, I must admit. I drank the xanga lemonade and tried the myspace thing as well (until it became the slum of the 'net). I even had a GEOCITIES blog, for Christ's sake. Of course, back in those days, weblog wasn't a word and no one I knew could use the internet for anything besides AOL chat rooms. But little teenage me was writing away. Probably about my sweet JNCOs.
Anyway, fast forward a decade and a half and I'm blogging again. About what? I'm not sure yet. I'll probably give my opinion on all kinds of stuff that I read on the web or see in my daily life. I don't even intend to make it public, I think. In the end I'll probably write just to keep my mind sharp and then inevitably abandon the blog until the next generation of blogs. Let the cycle begin!
